Great IEM's Poor Service
"Attended a promoted IEM event on Saturday 27th June and eventually received my ear monitors 3 months later. Not one but two impressions were completed on the day with a 28 day turnaround indicated. However, both impressions were unsuccessful and I was advised on 14th July. ( no issues with this) So an alternative arrangement was made with a well know Retailer to have new impressions done on the 16th July. When I attended they thought I was there for a hearing test and knew nothing about carrying out any silicon moulds. I was told they had no experience of this before. Needless to say these impressions were inadequate and I was asked to return to the retailer to have them done yet again. I told the rep I had no confidence to go again and offered to meet the rep at a mutually agreeable location as i felt ACS should be carrying out the moulds as they were who I bought them from. I received apologies with promises of some sort of compensation for my inconvenience. I had asked for an upgrade from the "Engage" model but offered the standard 15% discount of another purchase. To which I replied this wasn't a gesture and why would i want two sets. The rep told me he would offer me something when we met up. Once we met up the new impressions were carried out but no offer was forthcoming of any kind. I sent an email a few days later expressing my dissatisfaction of no offer after three attempts. ( 2x Glasgow & 1 Livingston) A rather snippy email reply came through informing me the rep had to make two journeys on my behalf and it was up to me to discuss any compensation with him direct) I reminded him that the first journey was an event he organised and shouldn't be held against myself. He sent an email to apologise for his "blunt response" and that he would look after me. I then received an email to say the new impressions were received on 2nd September and they would be with me within 3-4 weeks as a matter of priority. I asked for them to be delivered quicker if possible as the original timeline from order was 28 days anyway, so I didn't feel I was getting any priority. The ear monitors eventually arrived on 25th September professionally boxed which I was happy with. They sounded brilliant when I tried them for the first time. However, no courteous contact from the rep was forthcoming and no back up to I'd be looked after or compensation for my inconveniences, although he did ask me if I would like to cancel the order for a full refund after waiting three months. AS I said I am happy with the IEM's but not the service ...........No offer and then I discovered my name was spelt wrong on one of the moulds. ..... I've hated sending this review as I usually give the benefit of the doubt but felt the back-up lets the product down."
